I need your help! Help me honor Noah for his birthday – It starts Thursday :-)

September is not only Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, but it is my sweet baby’s birthday. My Jedi would have been 9.

I honestly didn’t know how I was going to get through the month and then I got this news:

Noah’s Light Foundation was nominated for Chase Community Giving’s $250,000 to the charity who gets the most “Votes & Likes” on the Facebook voting page and the deadline for votes is (drumroll, please)…

September 19th…Noah’s birthday!  Seriously, what are the odds?

I wanted to thank you all for your kind words, prayers and offers to help. Now, I am flat out asking for major help.

On Thursday, I will be posting the link – voting starts then (Sept. 6th – Sept. 19th.) Will you PLEASE take a few minutes out of your day to vote for Noah’s Light Foundation and pass the link on everyone you know? (And and even those you don’t know!) :-) I am asking now so you can take a minute and really prepare your own campaign for Noah.

Forward it to: Your company directory, your LinkedIn, your Church directory, your email address book, your clients, post and share on Facebook (if your friends “like” it – we get more times to vote,) Tweet it, You tube, share it with your school, post it on your Blog, Post it on others blogs… share, share, share!

It costs you NOTHING but will be PRICELESS to the 12 children a day in the U.S. who are diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer…yes…12!!!

Thank you in advance for shining a “light” for our Jedi Noah!

I will be posting and emailing the link and instructions on Thursday, Sept. 6th! This will be our link -

Get ready! We will do this for you Noah! You are not forgotten and we are still fighting.

Happy Birthday my sweet angel! We love you!

Our Love, Our Son, Our Jedi

I am writing this on the weekend so you do not have to cry at work…
even though a 3 day weekend isn’t enough. (I heard it was Memorial Day.)

Before our amazing Disney weekend, Dennis and I were ecstatic that there was no cancer in Noah’s liver, but we both knew that if the enzymes didn’t come down, we would not be able to continue treatment. So, as always, we put on our brave faces and went on our last family vacation. We loved, laughed and made memories.

We by no means are giving up on anything, but from day one, we promised that we would guard Noah’s quality of life. Unfortunately, the enzymes are not down and Noah is in pain. As I write, he is sleeping by my side on pain meds. At this time, it is looking like we may not get the opportunity to go to Houston. Dennis and I are preparing for all scenarios – most are surreal. Wednesday, we came back from Disney and on Thursday my dear friend Terri was brave enough to come over. I had a list of pictures that I wanted and she photographed our family for over 3 hours. Just being a family.

This is what is important; this is what to remember. God gave us a REAL, visible Angel and through Christ, Noah has actually made miracles – we are so blessed!

Many of you have said that you have things for Noah and Landin if you want, you can drop them off at my office, let me know by post or email me. What we don’t want is one more dime spent on us – PLEASE, PLEASE  donate it to Noah’s Light. Whether it be $20 that you would have spent on flowers or $1 for a card – DONATE IT!!!!!!! Help me battle this demon – our fight is not over!

I have more requests. If you want to write something, CLICK HERE  and share your story. We would love to hear a story about our baby boy. Also, if you have every taken a picture of Noah or a video at a party, you can give those to us – that would be more precious that anything. He is a light to so many and there have been so many miracles around him. But that’s why angels are here.

I will keep you posted. I will share pictures. Please pray for strength. Please pray for Landin (I will need a lot of help with baby girl. Noah is not only who she wants “to marry,” but is her best friend. She worships him.)

Please pray for no pain. Please pray for our Angel. God bless you all and I am praying for everyone that reads this blog too!!! We all need strength – you are part of our family.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!

I know I left everyone hanging with the MRI results. It isn’t good news and I just didn’t want to think about it during Christmas (and I didn’t want others to think of it either.) We also had a LP (lumbar punch) on Friday and those results came back today. Really not good news. We have never had cancer cells in his spinal fluid, but this time it was positive. I can’t really process it right now, so on to happiness.

The kids and I went to Birmingham to play with the cousins!!! I have 3 words to describe the trip – JOY, JOY and more JOY!!! The brood of 6 children laughed and played and laughed some more. It was delightful!! Not one meltdown!!! From morning ’til night – running, playing and jumping… yes, jumping! Uncle Marc and Aunt Donna have an amazing superpower that causes children to laugh, get fresh air and play outside all day… it’s a TRAMPOLINE! These children got up and jumped for 10 hours a day! (Then slept for 14!) It was such a blessing seeing Noah let loose. All of his life, he has so careful. Never wanted to get dirty… won’t walk on grass without shoes…roughhouse?…forget about it!! This perfect week, Noah played, tossed, bammed, fell.  As he stood covered in wet, mucky leaves… “Mom, today I think I almost broke me wrist! It was awesome!!!!

Noah got to go to Marc’s scout meeting and his basketball game. We created princess and Star Wars snowflakes!!! (Thank you Laura!!!)

We were so lucky to be there for Marc & Donna’s Christmas Party! We got to meet many of their friends who have been blessing us with their prayers. “The children were nestled all snug in their beds, with visions of Star Wars Episode II danced in their heads.” The boys begged and we said yes; it was adorable – they are so grown-up, watching Star Wars… but they both needed “Woof” & “Gurrr” to snuggle.

Simply Magical!!! Once again – blessed, blessed, blessed!
