Prayers continue from Fairhope, Al. I have been following Noah since attending Mass in Celebration on a trip to Disney. You are a MARY to me. Walking bravely among the “demons” to support your son on every step of his innocent journey back to our God. We will all walk with you. Love, Gay Nell Foster

I had the privilege of dressing Noah as a character for the Living Stations of the Cross at Corpus Christi in 2011.He was able to be a part of the tableau scenes with many of the middle school and high schoolers of our parish. The costumes were geared to kids much older so I got creative and he was so cooperative. We gave him a buddy, Matthew Small, who explained what was happening in each scene and his facial expressions and stance were incredibly perfect. When the parishioners realized that Noah was a part of the re-enactment of the Passion of Christ… many were moved to tears.
I have prayed each day for Noah since his diagnosis. I pray for Landin, and for us all because we will miss Noah’s light. His journey has inspired us all to prayer and faithfulness. He has been a catalyst that has united a parish. I am grateful for the opportunity to have come to know you, Jedi Noah!

When I think about how absolutely brilliantly genius Noah has been from the get go, I remember how he knew the ENTIRE world map at age 3 and sitting at the kitchen table we were testing him and Marc asked what country was below Germany and Noah said, “Switzerland” and you said, “noooooo” and Marc said, “yeeees” and we all laughed and said “just as Noah, he knows.”

Hey Amber,
I think of you all constantly. Your whole beautiful family. The whole great gang of you that I met here in Rome. At the Vatican. Your strength, your fragility, your faith, your big beautiful family.
And you… let’s take a couple of minutes to shine the light on you for a moment. I can still see your lovely face framed by your beautiful dark hair.
You leave traces of your energy wherever you go. That’s what you give to the world. God gave you that. I know that sometimes the responsibility to keep surging ahead with enthusiasm and true faith must be exhausting. I sometimes think of the gift that Michelangelo was given, that ‘God Thing’ that must have sometimes felt like such a mixed blessing. Maybe sometimes for him it almost felt like a curse. Such a huge responsibility to be given.
And I know that even when you feel that you have no more energy left in your body that you’ll never stop surging ahead just as Michelangelo never stopped sculpting. He was heard bang banging away at his last, unfinished ‘Pietà’ just three days before he died aged 89.
When God gives something like that, something like your special gift too, you can never just put it down.
I’m so blessed to have met you. You help us all to keep things in perspective. To remember what is important. To know what ‘fun’ is and to know how important that is, but to know what underlies all the ‘fun’ things in life.
It’s love.
And I can’t think of a person who knows that more than you.
Thank you from all of us that you’ve touched with that love.
Hilary

Amber,
I first read the story of Noah in March 2009. From that moment, I’ve continued to follow Noah’s battle with this dreadful disease that I pray a cure will be found for. Noah is one amazing little boy with amazing strength, spirit, fight, and big dreams(of seeing the tallest building in dubai) and being blessed by the Pope. I don’t have the honor of attending Corpus Christi and I never met Noah but Noah captured my heart and prayers. My Parish and pastor are praying for Noah. As is my entire family. It’s amazing how one little boy can capture the hearts of so many all over the US. you are truly one amazing person to have such strength and faith during such a horrific ordeal. I pray that Noah will be if possible cancer free and pain free. May the Good LORD Bless him and your family during this most difficult time!

I too, like the gentleman above, heard about Noah at Mass at Corpus Christie church. That was alomost 2 years ago. I have been praying for all of you since. I marvel at your faith and trust in God. As I read your blog, you have given me a gift believe it or not….more faith, hope and trust in Jesus. I will continue to pray for your whole family as you travel this difficult road together.

So…..anyone who knows Jim (Amber’s dad) knows he likes big things. Jim is a big man, he has big TVs, big dog, big bbq pit, etc. We couldn’t help but laugh when Amber had Noah and Noah was too big for the newborn coming home outfit! I had my daughter about a month after Amber had Noah. Taylor was 13 weeks early and weighed just over 2.5 lbs. She was swimming in the preemie clothes we bought. What opposite ends of the spectrum.
Amber….although we are not blood relatives you have always been my “cousin”. My heart is breaking for you and I promise you I will support your cause with Noah’s Light.

You all don’t know me, but I knew of Noah through a friend in Solivita that goes to Corpus Christi Church and she posted your blogs. My husband and I went once on a Saturday afternoon to mass at Corpus Christi and was able to recognize Noah and all of you. What a beautiful family!!! You have been in our prayers for a long time and your angel Noah is already enjoying Heaven and he is around us. He will always be with you all. May the Lord Bless You.

I will forever be touched by your amazing son. I never actually had the pleasure of meeting Noah but I came close. I was a member of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation team called “The Southeast Stubby All-Starz”. We all shaved our heads in solidarity with Noah on March 17, 2009. As much as I wanted to say “Hi” to your son I had to step aside. He was in particularly high demand that day with friends, family, Stormtroopers … Boba Fett, etc!
I’ve been following your blog since February ’09 and will continue to do so. I hope to make it out to Celebration to celebrate Noah’s life on Saturday, June 23 … My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I was sharing the story about Noah with a friend from Tallahassee who attended Bishop Parks ordination. I was also sharing the story of our wristbands worn by many of us at the ordination…. I explained to him…
On it, It says, “Pray for Noah” and as you read around to the other side, “jedinoah.wordpress.com”. You can go to this site and see, the beautiful life of this young boy; the great faith journey of his family; and loving support of our church community family. Although the miracle we all prayed for in a cure, was not God’s will to cure him of his cancer but to cure a community in bringing us all closer as a family of God and separate us a bit more perhaps from the material world. Noah was the seed to which faith grows more & more in all of us. His life had impact that was large and so I am certain his young ministry has gained him his saintly reward. I am sure Noah was immediately lifted up to heaven and now shines bright like one of the brightest stars in up in the sky for us to see. I will close with a quote from Dr Wayne Dyer: “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but rather spiritual beings having a human experience”. Some of us journey this human experience a bit longer than others but no matter how long, let’s make it really count as Noah did. Peace to all…

I can not attend however my prayers will cover the distance with ease. I have never seen a Parish come together in unending faithful prayers for a little boy we did not know. We all prayed for Noah Larkin, a boy we did not know but whose name was very common to us; we all knew the names of Amber, Dennis and Landin, the family we never met but who remained in our daily prayers. We ran to Church for evening prayers and Eucharistic Adoration whenever an emergency prayer request came to us each time Noah’s battles got tougher; we wore the green bracelets to bring awareness of Noah’s prayers; we read the blogs because we wanted to know how Noah was doing and we wanted to hear good news about him. We prayed with so much faith, we wanted a miracle, we expected a miracle! What we didn’t know was that Noah was the miracle, that he was an Angel sent from Heaven to perform the miracle of our perseverance in Faith, the miracle of our closer connection with God, the miracle of more frequent visits to Church. God was calling us all through Noah. We received the miracle we had been expecting, Noah is now free from his tumors and we got closer to God because of Noah…Noah’s mission was accomplished and he has now gone back to Heaven to be with his Creator and Who I’m certain greeted him with a “Good job Noah, well done, mission accomplished.”
Thank you God for sending us this Angel! Thank you Noah for the gift of your force! Thank you Amber and Dennis for the gift of Noah to us!
We will continue praying for you, Amber, Dennis and Landin.
God Bless you always.

This is what I call: THE GOOD NEWS FROM THE GOSPEL…….OF THE PRESENT DAY! God chose this family to touch many, many lives and provide a cure for pediatric cancer…and how blessed are we to be a small part of their journey. I met Noah and his mom and dad in Rome, March 2011. It was a hard day for me I was mourning the death of my granddaughter (who died at birth). Noah’s mom comforted me. I still have the bracelet she gave me in Rome. In our hearts and mind we know they are angels in heaven,a loss is still a loss and it is so hard. God be with you. PS today I wondering what color to paint my nails. I decided on OPI’s new color (don’t talk bach to me). It is the color of Noah’s bracelet . (divine intervention) BLESS YOU NOAH.
