So much to be thankful for – Happy Thanksgiving!

How do I describe Thanksgiving? Hmmm, it makes me smile and laugh a bit… and once again I’m speechless. I can’t begin to list or give enough thanks for all of the things I am Thankfully for and all of the blessings we have received!!

All I can do is share some more pictures! We are just so blessed and by the Grace of God, we went on another Larkin Family Adventure!

NYC and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, here we come!

We flew into JFK and of course the first thing you do in NYC is go to Toys-R-Us and ride the ferris wheel right? You would have thought the kids had never seen a ride before! Then off to meet our dear friend Heidi for a fantastic dinner.

The next morning, it was time to the Macy’s Balloon Inflation ceremony! We walked the streets looking at all of the amazing balloons; I probably enjoyed this more than anyone – I’ve wanted to do this since I was a kid. :-)

Back to Heidi’s to see our other old friend – Isabelle! (The bulldog :-)

Thanksgiving day! I found this wonderful company, nyctrip.com, and they put together a package that included ticket to view the parade from an inside venue, since Noah couldn’t be in the crowds. They provided food & drinks, warmth and big glass rooms with view s of the parade from all sides. Perfect!!! What a great morning…and how many people got to see that Buzz Lightyear really has “ANDY” written on his shoe.:-)

The kids were so happy. Those two are INSEPARABLE!!! The entire time, they played, up games, laughed, acted, sang, and laughed some more! As you can see, Noah turned the camera on us – “Mom, make all the faces I make!”

When Spiderman arrived, it was “Outside, Mom!” And then the rest of the trip… all MARVEL…All the time! “Mom, tell me all the super heroes! Tell me all the villains! Tell me all the colors! Of course, this gave me an idea!

We went back to Heidi’s and cooked all afternoon. We did take a couple of breaks to do the kids FAVORITE “Heidi’s House” thing – walk to the park and CLIMB THE ROCKS!!! Noah went to the top, threw his arms in the air a screamed – LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!! LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!! :-) Amen Noah! Amen.

Now… Mom’s Idea – I got tickets to “Spiderman” on Broadway. These kids of ours LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the theater! They laugh, they cry, they “BRAVO!!” Such old souls. Now – Noah is now Marvel obsessed! He has been Peter Parker ever since and Lu is now MaryJane.

After the show, back to Heidi’s for some drawing fun! Heidi came up with a plan to draw Manhattan and plot all of the places we went – Subways, cabs, shows, stores – everything! They were ecstatic!!! Every night…”We have to work on our map!!!!” She got little subway cars and cabs for them to drive on our city – both of them want to take it for “share” at school.

Next day, more parks, the breathtaking St. Patrick’s Cathedral and then … the NYC Ballet – the Nutcracker at Lincoln Center!! They were so excited! Can we dress up? Can I wear a tie? The best was…(Noah looking in the mirror once he was dressed) – “Mom… I have the prefect smile that will go with my great hairstyle!” So crazy!

We traveled to the ballet and THEY wanted a PHOTO SHOOT! Here’s Lulu’s best…”Mom, now I’m going to do all my own custom poses…catch my emotions!!”

(PS. Do you see the GORGEOUS weather? 65˚ at night!!!) They had so much fun and Neil Diamond sat right behind us! :-)

And how better to wrap up the night than with Star Wars, map drawing and a iChat with Brent!!!! Perfect again. Poor Lulu’s tender heart “Mom, I’m going to break as I leave Heidi and Izzy!” Sweet girl.

Last stop before the airport, Empire State Building! Lulu… “Mom, why does this building have such a mean name?” What baby? Mean? “Yes… like the “Empire”…like “Star Wars…hello, Darth Vader?”  :-)

On the plane Noah said “Mom, I love this city, please take a picture of me kissing my sweet Manhattan.”

Thank you again Dear Heavenly Father. Through You all things are possible and I thank you for every second, of every breath, of everyday!

Glory be to YOU and THANK YOU!

Hi, My name is Nicole and I work with your cousin Autumn which is how I started to follow Noah’s story. I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE NYC. We have visited many times this year due to my father-in-laws illness with Leukemia. We were unfortunately unable to return this holiday season due to my father-in-laws passing in early fall and I’ve had some minor health issues myself. Praying we get there next Holiday season. Thank you so much for sharing these photos and allowing me to live vicariously through you. Looks like it was a fantastic time. Many prayers and blessings to you and your family.
