One more day and new hair :-)

One more day of treatment then we go home! Three Harry Potter lego sets, an Anatomy torso and a Light saber lab later…and we are almost home. And look what Noah has – new hair and cute eyebrows! I caught him in the mirror checking himself out…playing with his eyebrows…making them dance!

He’s such a trooper… (well a Jedi!) This morning a film crew was here and he walked them through the process of adjusting his shunt with a magnet and then having the IV put in his head for chemo! “Then” he said, “I lay here for 5 hours..and then voilà, I’m done!” Whew – he is AMAZING!!!

We got to see some old friends and some of our angels! Baby Charli was all over Noah – crawling all over his bed…screaming when Mom tried to take her out! Blakey was there and we got to visit our “Radiation Ladies!” Noah was thrilled!!! “They still remember me and they still love me!” They were so happy – we haven’t seen them in almost a year. (I was a mess. The flashbacks are unbelievable.)

He iChated with his friends at school and can’t wait to get back! In the afternoon, he was staring at the ceiling and I asked him what he was thinking about. He stared at me for a minute then said “Mom, I’m going to be famous you know!”  Oh my love…

Enjoy the photos! We are blessed! Miracles are abound!

Please pray for the morning

Up and down, up and down … see sawwwwwww —–

Please pray for the morning – we have an MRI at 9:00am to see if the chemo is doing anything. We are driving to Gainesville tonight. We will tweet asap.

Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive us for our sins. Please be with my son during his 2 1/2 hour MRI. I pray for a miracle of a clean MRI for Noah. Please remove all of the cancerous cells from his body. Please give all of us strength to follow You on this journey. We thank you for all of our blessings! We ask these things in Your name. Amen

I am the most selfish person in the world!!!!

Where we last left off…

Five days of chemo and we come home on a Friday night. Wake up on Saturday…madly pack and go camping!!! (Yes, in a tent, for the first time ever… in the middle of Celebration!) Then, wake up knock the grass off our shoes and go to church. Come home Sunday evening and get ready for SCHOOL!!! Yes, I said Noah went to school!!!! Praise the LORD!!!

He was so cute… “Mom, since I’m just getting used to school, can I be like an assistant to the teacher? I would also like to give my sister some lessons.” And of course, the most amazing school in the world accommodated his every sensibility! Thank you Celebration Montessori family… your “kid gloves” are so gentle and caring!!

So here’s was our schedule: Take the kids to school, (hee hee – 2 kids singing… in the car…together!). At noon, pick Lulu up, take Noah his lunch (that he ate … with his mouth and everything :-) ), take Lulu to swim class, have a play date with the Hervats while we waited for the big boys to get out of school, pick up Nate & Noah, play some more, go to church …then go home. (Yes, singing and playing Star Wars on the way home. Once home…Noah said “Hey Landin, do you want to have a sleep over?” She was over the moon!!! He taught her the “continent song” in the bath (because “every child in the Coral Room should know that song” he said), then it was “sleepover snacktime” and then he read her stories! (I will be posting that video soon! :-) )

Everyday for the past 2 weeks has been a JOY and an amazing blessing!!!! As close to our “old normal” as we have been in a year!!! (He is even growing eyebrows!) Playing, running, laughing, swimming, sleepovers, eating, acting, running, boxing, more laughing… So much to be thankful for and so many new firsts for him!!!!!

And that makes me the most selfish person in the world, because I have been basking in every second of it!

Here are some of the highlights: (I have actually been too “in the moment” to even take pictures – that never happens!!)

Thank you LORD!!
