The Perfect Party!!!! Thank you!!

Can we please have another party!!! :-) Please!!!! :-)

Perfection. Blessings. Joy. Love. Hope. What a celebration! I owe so much to so many people!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I don’t know if there has ever been such an amazing collection of people in one place. My heart was beaming the entire time. Not only because it was a perfect day for Noah, but it was wonderful to share it with all of the people that we love. Seeing all of the children that have been with Noah since he was 3 was wonderful! It brought back so many memories of other birthday parties and for some reason, I kept seeing the Coral room’s Thanksgiving feast! What amazing children!!! They have never treated Noah any different from the day they first met him. They are never shocked at anything. (I even forgot to warn parents that he had stitches down the front of his head.) The kids didn’t care. I kept having flashbacks to so many great memories. It’s hard to think that we have missed a year! And then to have our new friends from the hospital come and celebrate with us as real people, not patients.  The joy was priceless!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Daniel, Jimmy, Lucas Films & R2 – Unbelievable!!! I think shock set in upon seeing the Landspeeder and the gifts. But now, “I can’t believe it Mom!!!….”

Mike and Terri with the city of Winter Garden…(I love this city!)

The Chefs Table for their AMAZING food! Amanda’s Cakery for the cupcakes and cookies that I love! Stephanie for the great cookies that keep parties (and our office) fat and happy!

Jason the Balloon Artist – “The Emperor”… really!! How did you do that!!

The Event Specialists – You rock!!!! (And rock wall :-) Thank you for keeping it going!

Eric Woller “Sugar Artist” – I have NEVER seen cakes like that in my life! I had NO idea that I was having a famous “Ultimate Cake Off” pastry chef gracing our party!

Where do I begin with the characters. Bob, Wendy, Fed, PJ and all of your family and crew – words cannot express the joy that you have given to my son. Jedi Chris for learning the Jedi way (script); you are truly and Jedi Master! It was so nice meeting all of you, sharing stories and getting to know you. Thank you for being part of his day and may the force be with you – always!

And finally… my dear, dear friends that made this happen. Maryellen (aka: “life blood”), Ann, Joe, Tom, Amy, Dan, Neil, Doug, Rachel, Wes, Jennifer, Karen, Leanne, Ann’s neighbors and the high school volunteers. It takes a village and my village is on a rock! This would have never happened without you! You all knew that I couldn’t do it and you made it happen. I love you all so much and this thank you does not suffice for what you have given our family. I will always be humbled and thankful.

Grandparents and families are pure love and ours are no exception. Our thanks for you guys go on and on but a special “shout out” for helping to make this day amazing.

I love you Dennis (AKA Cad Bane!) For better and for worse, through sickness and health, even when things seam impossible … I love you more everyday!

Ok… let’s have another party so I can visit with everyone for HOURS!!! Reminiscing…catching up on all of the details of last year!  I know Noah was thrilled, but I never realized how therapeutic it was going to be for Dennis and myself. Landin said “I want to have Noah’s birfday everweday!” It was a family “greatest day!”

Dear Lord thank you for blessing us with the perfect day to celebrate my precious son’s life. Thank you for leading us through this journey and surrounding us with such amazing people – your angels! We pray for everyone that is praying and thinking of us and we are so thankful for them. Thank you for all of the children. Keep them safe, strong and health! Thank you for blessing them with the unwavering, pure love for each other and for Noah. I ask these things in Your name – Amen

Gob Bless you all!

(Oh… and let me know when my next party is! :-)  )

ps. Noah and I left early, early Monday morning for Gainesville to start 5 days of intrathecal chemo. (Chemo directly into his head/brain everyday, then he has to lay there for 5 hours!!!). He hasn’t opened the majority of his presents, so thank you’s will be coming soon there after!! :-) We are in the treatment room right now; it’s the first time he has fallen asleep and the first chance I have had to blog.  :-)

Enjoy the pictures – there will be more! Now there’s only 318ish :-)

Happy Surprise Birthday Jedi Noah!

Ok, Please forgive the last minute post. I have emailed many of you about Noah’s Birthday Party and some of you have not received it. As to keep some “privacy on the internet” I am posting this without the time and place. I know this is a little backwards, but If you haven’t received it and want to come, please email me at surprise@nthdegreefx.com. You have been so supportive with love and prayers, we want to share the celebration of Jedi Noah! (And I don’t want to forget anyone. :-)

Please let me know today and Thank you all!

Thank you! This day is over – he did great!

We are exhausted. Prayers were answered… after a 2 surgeries over 4 hours, chemo into the brain, a 4 hour recovery and 2 platelet transfusions… we made it. I have to admit, I was scared. Today was too much and by the end… Noah sat up and wanted to go to Toys R Us for Star Wars toys. (Talk about surreal!!!!) From signing a stack of papers ranging from brain damage to death… then Toys R Us. He is doing great. I had the same (flashback) relief as I did in Arnold Palmer. Every inch of our bodies hurts… well Dennis and myself… Noah is great! On top of it all, Miss Lulu gave me her fever and I almost passed out from chills and fever.  I had to lay down on a table outside in the middle of UF with a mask on. I wasn’t quite sure what was real today and what wasn’t.

Dear Heavenly Father – Thank you for your blessings. Thank you for all of the people who support us (all of you.) Thank you for wrapping your Angels around us. Thank you for holding my baby today.

Good Night!! I’m passing out after I blow my nose for the millionth time. :-)

In a nutshell…

I apologize for being the greediest prayer requester ever, but we need more.

Last Thursday, Noah and I drove home from Shands. We were at APH Friday and then home for Saturday & Sunday. We had a WONDERFUL day – (Thank you Tracey & Dylan; that I will blog about later) and now we are back in Gainesville. Noah is having two surgeries tomorrow – one in his brain and one to remove his apheresis catheter (the big tubes that hang off his chest – Bob and Patrick – he named them from Spongebob.) The removal of the apheresis catheter will allow him to swim and the thing that he is most excited about – taking a bath!!!! (We have been sponge bathing since Feb. 14th.) The brain surgery will allow for a small ommaya reservoir to be placed in his brain to receive chemo into his csf. (Noah has already named him “bumpy” :-) ) We are praying that this will not effect his counts so he can go to school. His first treatment is right after surgery. We will be doing this for 5 days; he has to lay still for a minimum  of 4 hours after. Whew. (Another day with the Larkin’s :-) )

Please pray – for everything. Surgery is at 7 am. Thank you!!! (So sorry that I am hogging all of the prayers! :-) )
