Cardinal Lunch & Festivities

Yes – our amazing cardinal is still here!

Thanksgiving was extremely painful – more than I could ever imagine. Thank goodness for the kindness of friends. At one point, Landin was so sad that she was sitting in her room crying. I sat with her and of course, our cardinal was right there. I said “Lu, why don’t we have a picnic in your room?” She was thrilled. We made lunch and went back to her floor. The cardinal was going CRAZY! I opened the window. He just stared then flew away. Not a min later he came back. I looked up… remember, I’m only a foot from the window… and I saw something big and black. I stood up and went to the window. He had a HUGE black bug in his mouth. He was going to eat lunch with us!

So…I sat back down on the floor… he jumped down to the bottom of the open window and we all had lunch together. It was really, really surreal!

Now festivities! Look what the amazing city of Celebration is doing! Please come join us and get discounted tickets online!

Oh how I love and miss you my sweet baby boy! You and our Dear Heavenly Father are doing great things! Wow – I just realized that I still haven’t written about Houston! Everything is going so fast! I will get to it I promise!!!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! They are needed :-)

Mi buotfl dotr

Hello – it’s been a while – everything is going so fast! If there were only 1000 hours in a day! I will catch everyone up over December, but I have to share a quick story about Lu.

As I dropped her off at school the other morning, I checked her “mailbox.” I was excited to see a drawing from my little artist with a story, but was suddenly surprised. She has been writing stories like crazy… journals, after journals..but I usually sit close and help her when she gets stuck. When I tried to read this story, I got concerned. My dear Ms. Saint Leger (Noah’s teacher) was standing there and she saw the weird look on my face. (This is where my “mother of the year” award comes in.) I say to her “Kathleen, we may be in trouble…look at this!” She takes it…reads it, smiles and says to me “Would you like me to read it to you?” What??!? You can read that??? She said “Of course… you don’t read phonetics.” :-) She giggled, got a huge smile and began reading…

“Once there was a beautiful Mommy, she lived with a beautiful daughter”

Oh my heart! I was thinking that we had big problems and she wrote a story about us!!!! With hearts!!!! I love you Landin! Mi buotfl dotr!!!

Our Jedi’s 9th Birthday

Happy Birthday my love! I know that you are battling with your lightsaber, probably making a journal of “colors and hilts,” then an afternoon of Legos. Dad and I are going to open your Malevolence Lego set today and play your theme… Anakin’s theme. Your two favorite things. We know that you are with us. Your sister is in your classroom, hosting your Lego birthday party – but you know because you are with her.

Pray for us my dearest love. Oh, to bask in the Eternal Glory of our Lord. What a birthday you will have – I couldn’t wish more for my son!

For all of us left here, this was the video that was played at Noah’s Celebration of Life, honoring our Jedi.

Happy Birthday my Angel! Thank you so much for choosing me. I will always be in love with you … more everyday.

I love you…forever…eternity and beyond.

Dear Mr. Yankovic & Dear Mr. Lucas, I look forward to reaching out to you for your help for children like Noah. You made such if difference in his life and I would love to explore more options if you are willing to help me fight. Thank you for your gifts to this world and to our family.

Please Pray

One child is too many! Here’s two more -

Please Pray for Claire Broadhead and Kellen tonight – very scary nights for both.

Claire was just rushed to the hospital with a spiked fever – she just had her port removed and was supposed to start school.  Kellen has a very scary MRI tomorrow – God bless them and their families!

The craziest (sickest thing) is that I would give anything to have that scared “tomorrow” feeling  - (I prayed and laid in the MRI machine with him every time) and I hate that anyone has to experience it. I miss you so much Noah.

We are praying for both families – God Bless you both! He is with you! Nono, please help them. I love you!

please click here and vote – let’s stop this!

Words of Wisdom :-)

I have to share a story. Noah and I were having one of our “Noah old soul” talks and we were talking about life, work, everything. He was asking a million questions and Noah was always perplexed at the fact that someone would not do something to the fullest. His life was black and white – no gray. Right or wrong. Remember, Noah was the child that used to put himself in “time out.” I put him once. After that, I would find him sitting there… “What are you doing Nono?” “Well Mom, I was thinking about doing something and I needed to think it out first.” He would sit, work it out in his head and be done.

He used to say that he was going to be the next Walt Disney or George Lucas, because they “did.” (Just “did!”)

So, after our “Old Soul” talk, he walked out of my office shaking his head to frustration. Anytime anyone wasn’t “living up to their potential” it would make him crazy!

Five minutes later, he walked back in and pinned this to my wall -

He said “I drew flowers to make it a little nicer… but never forget to DO IT NOW!!!!” And he walked out. So, my new mantra … “Do it Now!”

Just sayin’… :-)

God Bless you all!
